今年の夏もやってきました！Mu展示会します。

前年の展示会が好評でまたまた登場！firenzeでMuが98rossoショップとコラボで展示会をします。小物はもちろん、今度は98rossoのオリジナル服にプリントして登場！
今年のMuはちょっとひと味ちがったデザインもしてみました。開催日と場所は以下の通りです。

Machi Ue as Mu Textile Designer was working on
OPERA "WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE/Nel Paese dei mostri selvaggi"
at Piccolo Teatro of Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino January23 and 25 at 20:30

machi really thanks all experiences and all people who worked with. Special thanks to the costume team leader Ms.KATHELEEN KNIPPEL.

The opera story is based on famous american childrens book by Maurice Sendak.
machi worked on most fabrics which were all original designed and handprinted
Especially she enjoyed making two blanckets in Max's bed room.One is flower pattern bed sheet quilt
which has slight image of a MONSTER between the layers.This blancket can be seen at the very begining of the show.
The other one is JUNGLE quilt cover(this is how mu calls it!)
One side is crosshatching pattern surface and on the other side is filled with many leaves.
when the blacket flips over,it turns to be jungle! machi was sewing stuffed leaves on the base of the blanket all the time.(she is a little bit tired of leaves for a while!)
There are a lot more to tell but I just have to say this experience was absolutely great!

COSTUME!
最近、全くサイト更新してないわね、と思っていた皆さんお待たせしました。machiことMuテキスタイル・デザイナーの報告です。
実は1月に行われたオペラ "WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE/Nel Paese dei mostri selvaggi/かいじゅうたちのいるところ"劇場衣裳の仕事をしてました。
劇場：フィレンツエ・マッジョ・ミュージカル劇場、小ホール／ Piccolo Teatro of Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino January23 and 25 at 20:30

　この場をかりてこのオペラで一緒にお仕事できた皆さんにお礼と素晴らしい経験に感謝いたします。スペシャル　サンクスとして衣裳チーム責任者　KATHLEEN KNIPPEL大先生、ありがとうございました！
このオペラはアメリカ人にとってもあまりにも有名な絵本(Maurice Sendak著)が基になってます。いたずらMax／マックスがかいじゅうたちと出会い忘れかけていた、大切な事を思い出す冒険のおはなし。
さてMachi Ueはこのオペラ衣裳チームで主にテキスタイルデザインをてがけました。登場人物、舞台美術（といっても、殆どかいじゅうが主ですが）のに使われるファブリックをデザイン、そしてハンドプリントしました。
中でもマックスの部屋舞台に使われたブランケット（2枚）の作業はかなり楽しんじゃいました。1枚はオペラの最初シーンにいきなり登場する、いわゆるベッドシーツ。そのシーツ表面は花で裏はクロスハッチングのパターン。
後ろからのライティングでうっすらとかいじゅうの顔が浮かび上がります。
2枚目はMacの部屋シーンからジャングルシーンに変わる時に登場する、ジャングルキルトベットカバー（と、muは勝手によんでいる）。表はただのクロスハッチングパターンのベットシーツなのですがひっくり返すとジャングルに大変身！
布柄ハンドプリント作業を時間内に終えたのはいいのですが、その後2週間ほどmuはこのジャングルブランケットの為にひたすら葉っぱを縫い付ける作業で心身ともにジャングル状態でした。
そんなわけでこれからは、はっぱ（八八・ダブル末広がり）なmuでいきたいと思います。

100% TILE exhibition at the 100 % design fair in London

Mu's design entry has been selected to be shown in 100% TILE exhibition at the 100 % design fair in London
September 23(thursday) to 26(sunday)2004.

Those people who are going to 100% Design 2004 show in London,go and check this exhibition out!

There will be the presentation of the shortlisted projects of both international design competitions : '100% tiles' and 'tiles with crystal'
the 100% design fair / stand M88 / earl's court 2, london.
prize giving presentation will be on friday 24 september 2004 at 3pm !

Muのエントリーデザインがコンペに入選してロンドンの100%DESIGNにて100%TILEコンペ展示会に出展されます！
MUのテキスタイルデザインがタイルになったらどうだろう？と思って参加した100%TILEコンペなんです。
"100%TILE"と"TILE WITH CRYSTAL"の国際コンペの結果発表展示が行われます。
コンペ受賞者発表は2004年 9月 24日（金）午後 3時です。

ありがとうございました！
暑い中展示会に来て下さって本当に感謝感激です。

案外好評で結局8月1週目まで延期してしまいました。ちょっとだけお見せします！今回逃した方、また何処かでお会い出来ると嬉しいです！
